In a declining Newspaper and Print market, we were tasked with the challenge of protecting The Spectator’s existing revenue, replacing leaving advertisers, and to free up resources from time-intensive insert sales and logistics.
The solution was simple; outsource all insert activity to Canopy, including leads, meetings, pitches, billing, sales and operations for us to manage under our portfolio of 400+ advertisers.
The success marked the start of our prosperous and ongoing four year partnership with The Spectator, achieving YoY revenue uplifts of 23% and introducing 53% new advertisers to their ad space.
This would free up publisher resource to concentrate on alternative sales channels and removed all the hassle of dealing with the logistical side of inserts. We invoiced all bookings, associated debt chasing and paid publisher in one cheque at the end of each month.
