The Challenge

We have been working with Guardian News & Media Ltd since 2008 managing all the sales and administration of inserts, polybag and bound in activity for them. This has been a successful partnership where we have consistently performed above budgetary and market expectations.

Due to the nature of planning and buying inserts our business constantly takes us into the independent world of agencies and hence our scale in this area is considerable both hence we have a big reach across this area. In 2016 GNM asked us to review this area for them with the goal of managing the sales of space inventory across display, classified and digital.

The Solution

In Oct 2016 we took over the sales and management of a large part of their independent agencies. We created a team that not only understood the Guardian message and so could portray the values to our buyers but we provided the inhouse resource to ensure all orders were placed seamlessly and in line with the flat planning requirements.

The Results

We attend all internal leads meetings, ensuring pipelines are up to date and numbers are achieved. All bookings are process in connection with flatplanning allowing us to maximise the use of space with the GNM commercial team. We work as accost of sale allowing GNM to budget accordingly throughout the year.
